Glasgow Forces Fair – 29th August, Thistle Hotel

Forces Recruitment Services (FRS) will be hosting a Forces Fair at the Thistle Hotel in the centre of Glasgow on the 29th August between 10am and 4pm

Over 200 personnel are pre-registered to attend and engage with employers, training providers, educators and support organizations in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Glasgow City Council is the first Council nationwide to initiate a Veteran’s Employment Programme and will now pay up to 50% of a basic wage for 12 months for unemployed service veterans.

Shadow Secretary of State for Defence, Jim Murphy MP, will open proceedings and presentations will be given as follows:

1145: Business Start up – Alan Cawthorne, Financial Director, FRS

1215: Transition to a new career – Michael Brash, Editor, Pathfinder Magazine
