On the 28th and 29th July, fundraising group Hosties 4 Heroes is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for children’s Armed Forces charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers, by taking part in a tough challenge devised by Channel 4’s SAS Who Dares Wins, Ollie Ollerton at break-point.com…

The Hosties group is made up of ten air stewards, who have previously raised large amounts of money for several Forces charities. Over 24 hours, the group will be part of ‘Mission Evade’, trying to avoid capture by former Special Forces personnel.

It will be up to the group to use their survival skills and escape to safety, dodging hostile forces and maintaining a cover story as they go. Enemy Special Forces will be in hot pursuit with tracker dogs picking up scents and drones monitoring from above.

Commenting on the event, challenge organiser, Ollie Ollerton said: “This is an amazing effort by the Hosties whilst raising funds for our serving soldiers and veterans. These ladies push the bar each time with their events and we 100% support them in doing so.”

Sophy Mahon, organiser of Hosties for Heroes, comments: “Ever since 2011, we’ve dedicated our spare time to fundraising and supporting our great British forces. We see it as our job to spread warmth, smiles and show our gratitude to servicemen, women and their families.

“This latest challenge certainly won’t be an easy one, so we reckon we’ll earn every penny of our sponsorship money trying to evade capture for 24 hours! We’ll be so proud to hand the money over to Scotty’s, who do a fantastic job bringing smiles to children who have lost a parent in the Armed Forces.”

All money raised by the challenge will go a long way in helping the charity continue to deliver a high level of support to bereaved Forces children when they need it the most.
