Sharleen Spiteri has performed live in the BFBS studios in an exclusive programme for BFBS Radio

It will be broadcast on BFBS Radio 2 on Sunday 15th February at 7pm (UK) and again on BFBS Radio on Saturday 21st February at 1pm (UK).

Presenter, Simon Guettier, speaks to the Texas frontwoman about her life and the band’s 25th anniversary album, Texas 25, ahead of its release on 16th February.

Texas 25 includes many of the band’s top tracks that have been re-worked and re-recorded, such as Black Eyed Boy and Say What You Want.

During the hour-long show Simon plays three songs from the album, and Sharleen performs Start A Family, the current single.

From her dad’s time in the Merchant Navy, to her love of Glaswegian ice cream and early gigs touring universities, Sharleen shares memories from her personal life and professional career, and selects a few tracks that have influenced her own work.

And from Monday 16th to Friday 20th February, Texas 25 will be featured as BFBS Radio 2’s Album of The Week, so we’ll be playing two songs every day.
