Here is a roundup of developments with Captain Tom over the past few days…

  •  Captain Tom receives an invite from the MCC and the England cricket team to ring the five-minute bell at Lord’s once     COVID19 is over.
  •  His current single and duet with Michael Ball is topping the UK charts.
  •  The pair have also been rumoured to have been asked to perform their rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at the final of Britain’s Got Talent later in the year.
  •  Formula One team McLaren racing driver Lando Norris also invite Captain Tom to visit them.
  •  JustGiving announce they won’t be keeping their commission from the funds raised by Captain Tom.
  •  Captain Tom opens the NHS Nightingale hospital in Harrogate via video link.
  •  Over 25,000 birthday cards have already been sent to Captain Tom in advance of his 100th birthday on April 30.
  •  Wymondham mud artist Ruddy Muddy features Captain Tom in his latest work.
