Lone Survivor, the American war film from Universal Pictures (UK), is to be shown at thirteen SSVC Forces Cinemas worldwide to raise funds for The Royal British Legion

The certificate 15 movie tells the true story of Operation Red Wings, the mission carried out by four Navy SEALs in Afghanistan in 2005.

Manager for SSVC Forces Cinemas, Jennifer Holdford, said: “We are delighted that SSVC Forces Cinemas are able to host these additional screenings of Lone Survivor for our Forces audiences in aid of the RBL, and ahead of the film’s Blu-Ray and DVD sales release date on the 9th of June.”

Lone Survivor will be presented in SSVC Forces Cinemas in the UK, Cyprus, Germany and the Falkland Islands on the 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th June – see below for a full schedule of venues, dates and times.

Donations for The Royal British Legion can be made at the SSVC cinemas before each screening.

UK: Friday 6th June at The Forum Cinema, Blandford at 8pm and The Wessex Cinema, Aldergrove at 7pm. Saturday 7th June at The Seahawk Cinema, Culdrose at 2pm, and on Monday 9th June at The Globe Cinema, Minley at 7.30pm.

CYPRUS: Friday 6th June at The Mercury Cinema, Ayios Nikolaos at 7.30pm; Saturday 7th June at The Key Cinema, Dhekelia at 6pm and Sunday 8th June at The Astra Cinema, Akrotiri at 6.30pm.

GERMANY: Friday 6th June at The Jerboa Cinema, Fallingbostel at 7pm; The Globe Cinema, Herford at 8.30pm; The Ratz Cinema, Hohne at 7pm; The Kaleidoscope Cinema, Paderborn at 7pm, and Saturday 7th June at The Royal Theatre, Gutersloh at 5.30pm.
