The British Franchise Exhibition, the only British Franchise Association (bfa) endorsed event in the north, will present a comprehensive snapshot of franchising with leading franchisors among the many exhibitors, a wide ranging free seminar programme and a host of new and exciting initiatives

“The Manchester event will offer everything that a prospective entrepreneur needs to research and develop a new career in franchising, from business opportunities to advice on growth, expansion and strategy.” said Adrian Goodsell, Franchise Exhibition Manager at Venture Marketing Group, organisers of The British Franchise Exhibition. “We’re looking forward to delivering a first-class event. With McDonald’s holding its Open Days onsite, revamped seminar programme format, Business Plan Clinic and the Franchisee Panel, there are plenty of superb features to help aspiring franchisees”

The McDonald’s Open Day held at The British Franchise Exhibition for the first time ever, will feature a private 40-seat seminar room where potential franchisees can learn about career prospects through twice-daily briefings and book appointments for one-on-one meetings to discuss potential business plans. “We are delighted to be involved in this year’s British Franchise Exhibition in Manchester. We look forward to meeting prospective franchisees at the Open Days we will be holding at this notable franchising industry event,” commented Derek Rogers, Head of Franchising, McDonald’s UK.

In line with the revamped event, the renowned free seminar programme will again be a feature, although in a format new to Manchester. Based on successful response at previous associated exhibitions – The British & International Franchise Exhibition in London and The National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham – a comprehensive conference programme with dedicated category ‘tracks’ will run throughout the two-day show and will feature presentations run by the bfa, Growing Your Own Business keynote speakers, and franchisees and franchisors. The most important topics in franchising are set to be discussed, with subject tracks including: women in franchising, couples in franchising, hands-on franchises, management franchises, franchise resales and high-level investment.

Visitors to The British Franchise Exhibition will be the first to experience the all-new Business Plan Clinic, sponsored by Lloyds TSB, which will be launched at the event. Designed to give visitors invaluable advice on gaining funding and the planning they need to secure finance, the Business Plan Clinic will be an insightful resource for aspiring business owners looking to franchising as a business option.

The Franchisee Panel will return to the exhibition, and this time is exclusively supported and promoted by whichfranchise.com. This is always a crowd favourite as visitors can quiz existing franchisees about the realities of franchising, their successes and errors, and what to be mindful of when looking at opening a franchise. The Franchisee Panel is a great forum where attendees can shape the content in the session.

There will also, as always, be a vast range of exhibitors with business opportunities to suit all tastes, budgets and interests, from management consultancy to car repairs.

“By visiting The British Franchise Exhibition, Northern England’s aspiring business owners can get all the information they need to help them to decide whether franchising is right for them and, if it is, what franchise best suits their career goals. They can’t miss this opportunity,” concluded Adrian Goodsell.
