Pathfinder International magazine continues the focus on Veteran Owned Business, this time the spotlight is on newly formed business – UK Military Cards.

Started only this year, UK Military Cards was the brainchild of former Reservist, Liam Grieves, who is a graphic designer by trade. After a greetings card for a former colleague from the forces, he spotted a gap in the market.

“I’d been asked before to produce military cards for people, but I assumed there would be quite a range out there. After doing some research it transpired there wasn’t! Out of that UK Military Cards was born and things have snowballed from there.”

Indeed, UK Military Cards now design face masks in light of the current COVID19 situation and a donation goes to military community interest company – Veterans in Crisis.

Liam adds, “it is always nice to give something back and so what better way than by doing this”.

UK Military Cards covers all three branches of the services, with veterans designs included too. Liam is happy to point out though that if someone wants a bespoke design producing, then get in touch.

“We are not precious here so if we have missed a regiment, or squadron prints need doing, or you have your own design in mind, drop me an email. Indeed, if any other veteran owned business needs their logos putting on cards, face masks when attending a meeting or out and about, then also just drop me an email. Nothing better than self-promotion!”

Does Liam have any advice for the service leaver looking to set up their own business?

“Be prepared to put the work in, don’t get downhearted and always believe in yourself! Go for it, life is too short!”
