When Do We Start Wearing A Poppy For Remembrance 2020?

A vibrant pile of artificial red poppy flowers with black centers and green stems could easily be the centerpiece of any Centenary Appeal or poppy-up shop, capturing attention with their striking colors.

Remembrance 2020 will be slightly different this year with many parades and services falling victim to the Coronavirus pandemic. That said, we still remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving their country.

So when do we start wearing a Poppy?

As a general rule of thumb, the Royal British Legion poppy appeal starts towards the end of October each year. That is the time when you should start to wear a poppy.

This year’s Remembrance Sunday falls on Sunday November 8 2020, followed by Armistice Day on Wednesday November 11 2020.
