The Army Football Team take on the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) on Wednesday 23rd May, and BFBS is bringing you full live match commentary from the game

Aldershot Town FC is staging the fixture at the EBB Stadium, with kick-off at 18.00 UKT. BFBS’s John Anderson will bring you all the action from the match, with coverage on BFBS from 18.00.

After a very successful year of Inter Service football (with the Army winning the U23 and Women’s competition, and coming runners-up in the Men’s), the match marks the finale of the 2011/12season. This is one of the rare occasions when Army Football is staging an ‘international fixture’.

The acting Vice Chairman of Army Football, Brigadier Steve Vickery is looking forward to the game, he said: “It will be a great experience for the soldiers to mix with one another and a real eye-opener to witness the different styles of play. We are very excited about the game and Army Football would like to wish both teams the very best of luck.”
