This Remembrance Day most of us will not be able to attend Remembrance services due to the restrictions in place for the coronavirus pandemic – but we can still pay our respects in our own private way.

On Sunday BFBS launched a virtual Remembrance, which includes a digital map identifying all the wars and conflicts over time in which British and Commonwealth personnel have made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the nation.

The digital map can be found at A reminder of the many times our Armed Forces have put themselves in harm’s way to serve their country, the map allows the military community and civilians to commemorate those who have lost their lives, as well as find out more about the conflicts that have taken place over the years.

The virtual Remembrance page also includes words of Remembrance which have been sent in over the past few weeks by the military community. On Remembrance Day BFBS would like to post more of these thoughts, memories, poems, personal stories or reflections about a loved one who was among the fallen in a live Remembrance Wall, which will include posts from social media.

Please send your words to to be added to the Remembrance Wall.
