About Eurosatory 2020

Eurosatory 2020 – The Global Defence and Security exhibition

The international reference for land and airland Defence and Security exhibitions, Eurosatory is a biennial event taking place every even year in The Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte, near Paris – France. The 2020 edition will be held from 8 to 12 June 2020. Below some new things about the event.

> Always more participants

Eurosatory is the world’s largest equipment fair for the armed forces, the police, firefighters, civil security, customs and private security. It’s the unmissable event.

In 2018, Eurosatory brought together 1,802 exhibitors from 63 countries and over 98,700 attendees from five continents (153 countries). In 2020, the organiser COGES expects even more exhibitors and other participants from around the world. For the 2020 event, national pavilions of Belgium, Australia, Switzerland, Germany and Scandinavian countries have already increased their exhibiting surface. Lithuanian industries will exhibit for the first time under a national pavilion.

International high-level delegations will come to the exhibition from all over the world. In 2018, Eurosatory welcomed 227 official delegations from 94 countries and four international organisations – EU, NATO, UN and OSCE. Numerous VIP experts (key persons in the equipment procurement process) from different countries (34 countries in 2018) come to Eurosatory: national technical experts, corporate safety directors of private companies and others. Moreover, the exhibition is visited by numerous ministers and deputy ministers, chiefs of staff of armed and security forces as well as many other countless professionals attend the exhibition.

> Innovation is highlighted more than ever

In 2020, numerous life-size equipment and systems will be on display. Over 500 new products and systems never exhibited at the fair are expected to be unveiled for the attendees. It puts Eurosatory very far ahead of other comparable events. Companies, from large groups to SMEs will be featured on more than 80,000 sqm of indoor and outdoor exhibition area, as well as they participate in live demonstrations.

In addition to big companies and SMEs, Eurosatory gives a significant boost to start-ups. About 80 international and French start-ups will be gathered in specially designed start-up areas called Eurosatory LAB and cluster GENERATE at GICAT’s stand. Selected for their quality and interesting technologies and solutions, they will present their offers alongside big companies. This space of more than 1,200sqm will be organised in several thematic zones covering the major technological challenges of defence and security today. During the five days of the exhibition, high-level conferences, pitches and demonstrations will be held at the Lab, as well as various activities and user-friendly events such as the public vote for the « Start-up of the day! » or the « Cocktail Lab » offered every midday around the Agora.

As Eurosatory makes some changes at every edition, in 2020, new dedicated areas will be featured like Safe City, Medical equipment and others.

> Larger and interesting events programme

Attendees of Eurosatory exhibition take advantage of the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and main trends in defence technologies by visiting live demonstrations available outdoors, a real specificity of the show. The products and equipment are presented in action in real situations. In addition to exhibiting companies, foreign and French institutional bodies (police, firefighters, intervention groups…) will take part in the live demonstrations.

Eurosatory supports exchanges of views about the evolution of Defence and Security between all the players of the land and airland defence and security domain. Therefore, over 70 conferences and exhibitor pitches are organised over the 5 days of the exhibition with the presence of over 250 speakers. High-level experts, senior military, government and industry figures will discuss a rich variety of strategic issues: Technology – Defence and Security trends, European Defence Affairs, Security Development Continuum in Africa, Geopolitics and international strategy, Health in the Armies, Environment and Defence, Women in Security and Defence, UN procurement procedures – Industrial offsets, Airland convergence…

> Always more business and networking

Eurosatory is the place to be for doing business and developing commercial opportunities. Everything at the show is designed for participants’ ROI. For the 2020 edition, in addition to business consulting, a highly-detailed catalogue (hard and online versions), a high-performing mobile application and website, theme-oriented itineraries, Eurosatory offers multiple networking services. For example, a networking service is available for individuals with the official mobile application and on the website of the event. It allows to participants to connect with each other, to find a participant with the same interests or to find a connection by a topic.

In addition to the networking between individuals, the trade fair provides a business meetings service. It’s dedicated to business of manufacturers and it’s an excellent tool for connection on company level: between contractors and buyers.

Thus, at the Eurosatory Exhibition, everyone, from individual to the big company will find interesting contacts and links for developing its business.

Eurosatory is looking forward to welcoming readers of Pathfinder International from 8 to 12 June 2020 in Paris – France. For more details and registration information, go to www.eurosatory.com.
