Leading Scottish military charity, Poppyscotland has pledged its support for a national armed forces and veterans expo coming to Hampden Park in March.

The Pathfinder Armed Forces And Veterans Resettlement Expo takes place at Scotland’s national stadium on Thursday March 14, which will see over 30 exhibitors offer careers advice, training recommendations and a variety of veteran’s services on the day.

Now Poppyscotland has joined forces with Pathfinder International to add their range of services and advice to an anticipated audience of over 300 attendees.

The event is only the second of its kind in the UK, where the entire military community is welcome to attend, with the first event being held in St. James’ Park, Newcastle in November 2018.

Pathfinder International magazine editor, Mal Robinson said: “We are delighted to announce Poppyscotland as our official partner for the event at Hampden Park. Poppyscotland is synonymous with a range of veterans’ services within Scotland and to have them on board for our first event in Glasgow displays the calibre of the expo offer we have provided for both military service leavers and veterans alike.”

Mark Bibbey, Chief Executive of Poppyscotland said: “Poppyscotland is delighted to be supporting the Pathfinder Military Resettlement & Veterans Expo in Glasgow next month. Finding suitable and sustainable employment after Service is so important, and it is something Poppyscotland cares deeply about. We hope that lots of veterans and service leavers will join us on the day to find out more about the opportunities that exist, and the support that is available to them from Poppyscotland and many other organisations.”

The expo on Thursday March 14 is open from 0930 to 1330. Entry to the event is free for anyone connected to the military community.
