Singer, songwriter and guitarist, Rhodes, has played four live tracks in an exclusive session for BFBS, from his debut album, Wishes, and has chatted to Hal Stewart…

The hour-long Rhodes BFBS Music Special will be broadcast at 1pm (UK) on Saturday 21st on BFBS Radio, and at 7pm (UK) on Sunday 22nd November on BFBS Radio 2.

"Rhodes is a really genuine, down to earth and friendly chap, and this programme was such a pleasure to be a part of – he’s simply amazing,” said Hal. "This show is for hard core Rhodes fan as well as those who’ve never heard his name before as we explore the man behind the music, talk about his time before stardom and look at the songs which most influenced his career."

In between the live tracks – Close Your Eyes, Breath, You and I, and Raise Your Love – Rhodes describes how he used to practise his music through the night after a full day’s work, and the ways he overcame obstacles in his career through self-belief.

And thanks to Hal’s ‘Quick Fire Round’ questions, Rhodes also reveals his penchant for Vietnamese food, his favourite film, and the dream of gigging with Coldplay.

Listeners get a further insight into Rhodes’ tastes and influences in his choice of tracks from The Doors, Radiohead and Cat Stevens, which are also played during the session.
