The ‘Maritime Security Operations Course’ covered topics such as International Maritime Law, Embarked Aviation, Rules of Engagement, International Ship & Port Security and Maritime Security.

All 31 students from the Vietnam Coast Guard, Vietnam People’s Navy and Vietnam Border Guard completed the course successfully and were awarded certificates by the UK Defence Attaché Group Captain David Houghton.

Later this year Royal Navy instructors will return to Vietnam to support further training courses for Vietnam Coast Guard personnel.
