Pathfinder International’s first ever resettlement expo is now only 3 days away.

Held on Thursday November 1 at St James’ Park, Newcastle, the event focuses on an array of elements for service personnel and veterans going through transition in their lives.

We will be highlighting the various elements in our preview of the event, starting today with a look ahead to what training advice is available on the day.

“The expo on Thursday is shaping up to be a great military event.

There is a plethora of training opportunities on offer for the service leaver and veteran and the range is quite diverse.

We have advice from Wagtail UK, who are an approved training provider under the MOD’s ELC scheme and ELC credits can be used to train with these guys as a detection dog handler. Wagtail will even have one of their dogs there on the day, so go and say hello.

NA College will also be present at St James’ Park. These guys have a long standing record of being a training provider for Nissan and hold their own pre-employment training programme for the Japanese car manufacturer.

Maersk will be highlighting their impressive education programme for careers in the in the ever growing offshore wind industry.

Advanced Blade Repair Services will also be covering this emerging sector and offer courses and advice on how to become a skilled blade repair technician.

The Forces Media Academy who work as part of the SSVC and BFBS group will be in attendance and showcasing their full time creative media courses, with the next course starting in September 2019.

Brookhouse Training will be there with advice on how to become a Gas Engineer, The College of Osteopaths are ELCAS approved and highlighting their facilities, whilst Savant Academy and Horizon will be on show to inform you all of their close protection training agenda.”
