Sweetheart in the Services? Other half on ops? BFBS can help you send lots of love on Valentine’s Day, wherever you are based

On Friday 14th February we’ll be playing Cupid, reading your declarations of love live on BFBS TV and radio. Just send your virtual love letter viamessages@bfbs.com and set someone’s heart a flutter.

There’s also the chance to treat the apple of your eye with one of our prizes. BFBS Presenters Paul Wisdom (6 – 10am UKT) and Hal Stewart (1 – 4pm UKT), will both have a Love Monkey Box to give away fromBoxHappy.com

You could win a cuddly toy monkey with a heart-shaped cushion, a box of milk chocolate hearts, mini Love Heart sweets and Sweet Hearts Jelly Beans.

Paul will be asking potential winners to ‘guess the movie’ as BFBS presenters perform famous love stories from the big screen, while Hal will be giving out clues to a mystery celebrity during his shows from Monday 10th to Friday 14th. Every listener who correctly identifies the person in question will go into the draw on Valentine’s Day.

Also on the 14th, from 4 – 9pm (UKT) we’re inviting listeners and viewers into the BFBS Love Lounge, as BFBS Radio’s Charlene Guy and Tim Humphries will be on air and on TV.

BFBS TV will be in the studio filming both presenters for BFBS extra, so your amorous emails and posts could be broadcast on radio and on screen. You can also send a photo of yourself with your written message to our Facebook page and it might appear on BFBS TV.

If your beloved is deployed in Afghanistan, why not send a message to be broadcast from our studio in Camp Bastion during the Total Ops Connection, 10 – 1pm (UKT).

Or if training exercises and deployments at sea are keeping you far apart this February, let music be the food of love. Simply send a request viamessages@bfbs.com for your special song to be played out on BFBS Radio on Valentine’s Day.

BFBS Radio 2 will also be playing a love song every hour on the 14th, and on Saturday 15th at 9am and Sunday 16th at 4am (both UKT), Robert Dungate’s That’s Entertainment programme will have a collection of romantic love songs from the stage and screen.
