Five brilliant charities, more than 150 items up for grabs and ten hours of LIVE on-air coverage; it’s time for the 2015 BFBS Big Salute auction!

This year’s items go online throughout Friday 25th September atwww.bigsalute.com/auction and on eBay. There’s seven days to place bids, until all auction lots close live on air on BFBS Radio worldwide on Friday 2nd October.

All proceeds go to the tri-service charities supported by the BFBS Big Salute: Blesma, The Limbless Veterans, Blind Veterans UK, Combat Stress, FAB (Families’ Activity Breaks) and Veterans Aid.

“Petrolheads are spoilt for choice, as passes to Brands Hatch, a Land Rover Experience, a tour of the Aston Martin Factory, and a ride in an Ariel Atom are amongst the items on offer,” said Ernie Rowe, Head of BFBS Radio UK.

“If sport is your passion, there’s a four-ball voucher for The Royal Birkdale Golf Club, tickets and tours of Lord’s, plus loads of signed shirts, balls and memorabilia from sporting icons.

“This year we have extra special items from the stage, screen, and music worlds. There’s a private cinema showing for 28 people, a meet and greet with Status Quo, a tour of Pinewood Studios, passes to watch the filming of Celebrity Juice, or tickets to see West End shows and go backstage to meet the stars. Signed DVDs, CDs, and two unique autographed guitars are also in the mix.

“Adventurous types might prefer a tandem skydive, or coasteering in Cornwall, and if you’re looking for a memorable experience, a Red Arrows VIP day, or tickets to the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year Dinner would make unique gifts.”
