SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity has become the official and only charity partner of the British Army Cycling Union.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is delighted to announce that they are the official and only charity partner of the British Army Cycling Union (ACU) for the next three years.

The ACU is committed to inspiring soldiers to cycle, regardless of their age, gender, or experience. All donations through the ACU E Series 2021 will help SSAFA to continue to provide vital frontline services and support our military community.

In addition, once lockdown eases, the hope is that there will be more opportunities to get involved with their live cycling events encouraging both SSAFA supporters and British Army cyclist to cycle, compete and fundraise alongside each other.

Sir Andrew Gregory, CEO at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, said: “I am delighted that SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is to partner the British Army Cycling Union for the next three years.  The charity exists to support those serving in the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families to realise their potential.  The British Army Cycling Union brings people together to challenge themselves, improve their wellbeing and achieve excellence.  We share the same values and goals, something that makes this partnership wholly appropriate.  And on a personal level, as a keen if slow cyclist myself, I am hugely impressed by the standards British Army cyclists achieve.”
