As if walking 100 laps of your garden to raise funds for the NHS wasn’t enough for a 99-year old veteran, Captain Tom Moore has now duetted with renowned singer Michael Ball to produce a charity single, with proceeds going to Tom’s NHS fund.
The musical star has teamed up with Captain Tom to release a cover of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
On his Twitter feed this morning, Michael Ball shared: “I am so delighted and incredibly thrilled that our version of You’ll Never Walk Alone will be released later today, with all profits being donated to Captain Tom’s 100th birthday walk fund in aid of the NHS.
Also a huge thank you to the amazing NHS Voices of Care Choir for joining us on the single.”
The unlikely pair performed the song via videolink on BBC Breakfast.
